ITF Taekwon-Do special techniques are competition-based, acrobatic, flying, or high-jumping maneuvers used to break boards on a specially designed machine, testing accuracy, power, and agility. Competitors must execute specific flying techniques with correct balance and technique, typically involving high-distance or high-height, breaking objectives set at specific, approved, and regulated heights.
Key Aspects of ITF Special Techniques:
Goal: To demonstrate maximum power and precision in a flight, emphasizing control of the body in the air.
Competition Setup: Performed using regulated machines, with male competitors typically performing five techniques and females three.
Required Techniques (Males): Twimyo Nopi Ap Cha Busigi (Flying high front kick), Twimyo Dollyo Chagi (Flying turning kick),
Twio Dolmyo Yop Cha Jirugi (360-degree flying side kick), Twimyo Bandae Dollyo Chagi (Flying reverse turning kick), Twimyo Nopi Yop Cha Jirugi (Flying high side kick).
Required Techniques (Females): Twimyo Nopi Ap Cha Busigi (Flying high front kick), Twimyo Dollyo Chagi (Flying turning kick), Twimyo Nopi Yop Cha Jirugi (Flying high side kick).
Training & Safety: Focuses on developing jumping ability, quickness, and explosive power, and requires thorough preparation.
